PHOTO CUTLINE: Oakley Johns of Hohenwald, TN has climbed into the second spot of the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model National point standings and into contention for the $10,000 National Championship. An administrative error at the Crate Racin’ USA Adairsville office omitted a Double Feature race on September 26 at Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, TN that Johns won in the #C6 Shoals Box and Pallet Special. After the series corrected and updated the points, Johns now has 544 points and is six points away from a Perfect Season and a tie with the defending National Champion Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS.
