Crate Racin’ USA National Weekly Points Recap: Week 19 of 30

(Eastaboga, AL - July 10, 2025) – As the Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series rolls into Week 20 of 30, the championship chase is intensifying across all four national divisions. With Week 19 in the books, the latest points shakeups have tightened title battles, shifted momentum, and added new contenders to the mix. From lead changes at the top to fierce battles in the middle of the pack, every position on track is starting to matter more than ever. Here’s a look at how the standings evolved after another action-packed week of racing.

CRUSA Weekly Late Models: Davis Returns to the Top Spot
Ben Davis roared back to the top of the Late Model standings after a monster week, gaining 59 points to reach 651. Just one week after losing the lead to Sid Scarbrough, the Poplarville, MS native reclaimed the throne and now holds a 16-point advantage.

Scarbrough didn’t back down, adding 14 points of his own to sit second at 635, proving this title fight is far from over. Behind them, Brody Williams (R) made a solid push into third with 562 points, jumping over James Shirley and Shannon Lee, who now sit fourth and fifth, respectively.

Summer Joiner (R) and Brady Walton continue their neck-and-neck fight mid-pack, while David Williamson builds on last week’s momentum and rounds out the Top 10, pushing out Wayne Patton.

The battle between Davis and Scarbrough is the headline, but don’t overlook the youth movement creeping up the ranks.

CRUSA Late Model Sportsman: White Leads, but the Field Closes In
Brett White once again strengthened his position at the top of the Late Model Sportsman standings, adding six more points to reach 693. But while White remains in control, the competition is growing fiercer.

Devin Whatley delivered a strong weekend to climb to 651, cutting White’s lead down to just 42 points—the smallest it’s been in weeks. Covy Parsons makes a major move into third at 618, narrowly overtaking Brandon Lunsford (R), who now sits just two points back in fourth.

Zack Owens remains in the mix at 603, but the gap from second through fifth is now just 48 points, setting up a five-driver dogfight behind the leader.

With a narrowed lead and rising pressure, the next few weeks will test whether White can hold steady—or if a new name will rise.

CRUSA Modified Sportsman: Grimes Fends Off Grandel, But the Pack Gains
The battle at the top of the Modified Sportsman division continues to be one of the most intense in CRUSA. Colton Grimes padded his lead this week, now sitting at 538, but Ron Grandel kept pace, jumping to 506 and remaining just 32 points behind.

Behind them, the chase pack saw some shake-ups. Chad Gentry (R) made the biggest move, adding 130 points to surge into third with 435, pushing Luke Riddle to fourth and Keith Coan to fifth.

Further back, the Riddle brothers—Eddie and Luke—along with the Price brothers and Brandon Meeks (R), shuffled inside the Top 10. Dees Price and Rex Michael are now tied for seventh, making this one of the tightest mid-pack fights yet.

Grimes may be in control, but Grandel, Gentry, and company are turning up the heat.

CRUSA Street Stocks: Marsh Muscles into Third as Mid-Pack War Brews
Calvin Martin added no new points this week but still sits comfortably at the top with 696. However, the biggest headline in Street Stocks is the rise of Travis Marsh, who made a strong move up to 610 points, jumping past Corey Buhler (R) and into third.

Malachi Magee (R) remains in second with 634, but he’s now just 24 points ahead of Marsh. With three cars now within 86 points of the lead, the championship picture is far from settled.

Meanwhile, Chase Pennington jumps to seventh, just behind Carlos Williamson (R), while Justin Hart enters the Top 10 at ninth with 478, bumping out Courtney Passman.

Martin still leads, but Marsh is coming fast—and the mid-pack shuffle is just getting started.
