(Eastaboga, AL - January 13, 2025) – The 10th Annual Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Winter Shootout Series continues its thrilling season with the second weekend of racing action, as drivers and teams head to the Sunshine State for the 6th Annual DirtCar Sunshine Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, FL, from January 22-25, 2025. The event promises excitement with a $10,000-to-win feature race on Saturday, January 25th, and additional opportunities to earn points throughout the weekend.
The Sunshine Nationals will feature four full nights of racing action, with the Winter Shootout Series competitors taking center stage. The event includes preliminary features on Thursday and Friday, January 23-24, each paying $1,500 to win. The thrilling weekend will conclude on Saturday, January 25, with B-Mains and the $10,000-to-win feature that is sure to be a highlight of the event. Alongside the Crate Racin’ USA drivers, the World of Outlaw Super Late Models and 602 Late Models will join in on the action during the "Late Model Palooza" for even more high-speed excitement.

Fresh off his Ice Bowl victory at Talladega, Phenix City, AL driver Jimmy Thomas will look to carry his momentum into Florida, holding the Winter Shootout Series points lead. Sam Seawright, Hayden Cardwell, Drew Kennedy, and Josh Henry round out the top five in points heading into the Sunshine Nationals.

The overall Winter Shootout Series champion will earn a $4,000 cash prize, with a total points fund of $17,250 for the top 10 drivers. The Rookie of the Year will also receive a $1,500 bonus, with additional prizes for second and third-place rookies.
Event Details
The event will kick off on Wednesday, January 22 with an open practice session. The following nights will feature the preliminary races, with drivers looking to earn valuable points ahead of the big finale. The main event on Saturday, January 25 will cap off the week of high-speed action, with a B-Main and the $10,000-to-win feature.
