(September 10, 2024) – The Gulf South Crate Racing Association (GSCRA) is gearing up for an exciting weekend of racing at Sabine Speedway for the Fall Southern Showdown in Many, Louisiana. The action kicks off with a thrilling $1,200-to-win event on Friday, September 20th, followed by a premier $1,500-to-win main event on Saturday, September 21st. Racing will also include Sideline Sports Limited's, APE Engines Factory Stocks, B Mods, FWD, and Sportsters
Following a recent victory at Super Bee Speedway, Rob Litton has ascended to the top of the Gulf South points standings. In a dramatic showdown, Litton battled closely with Mark Underwood Jr., exchanging the lead multiple times over the course of the race. Despite Underwood’s three wins this season and a valiant effort, a flat tire ultimately relegated him to a finish deep in the field. With the season now in full swing, Litton's victory marks a pivotal moment as he leads the points chase with a strong season performance.
This weekend’s events at Sabine Speedway mark the third time the series has visited this venue this season. The season opener on April 19th saw Mikey Kile take home the victory, while the most recent race on May 24th was claimed by Corey Neil Jr. With the series returning to Sabine Speedway, fans and competitors alike can expect high-octane action and fierce competition.
